Mary Collins | Music Secretary
Mary Collins is currently in her 26th year at ECHS and her 24th year as the Music Department Secretary. Originally from Stafford, Kansas, Mrs. Collins graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science. Her husband, Clay, is an attorney with the law firm of Collins Law, LLC, and
also a Municipal Court Judge in Newnan and Palmetto. They are the proud parents of Meg and Kate Collins who are both graduates of ECHS and the University of Georgia. Mrs. Collins’ Instagram account, @the_fabulous_boxer_boys, has over 20 thousand followers from around the world who enjoy the photos of her boxers,

Teddy Sullivan | Guard Director
Teddy Sullivan is currently in his 17th year as Colorguard Coordinator at ECHS and has been instructing in the Atlanta area for over 23 years. While at East Coweta, the Marching Indians colorguard has consistently received superior ratings as well as multiple first place rankings. The cadet winterguard has been the gold medalist in the Southern Association for Performance Arts (SAPA) for fifteen of the past sixteen years. The Junior Varsity winterguard is a five time SAPA Medalist and the Varsity winterguard is the current SAPA Silver Medalist. Under his direction the varsity winter guard has been a Winterguard International (WGI) Regional Finalist for 16 years, a seven time WGI National Semi Finalist and a two time WGI National Finalist. The Winterguard is the 2011 Pensacola WGI Regional Champion and the 2016 Atlanta WGI Regional Champion. Mr. Sullivan attended Jacksonville State University where he was a member of the Marching Southerners. He was also a member of the DCI Finalist “Madison Scouts” Drum Corps from Madison Wisconsin playing the mellophone. He is the proud dad of Mable, a 7 year-old Labrador Retriever.

Russell Wilson | Woodwind Quintet
Russell Wilson earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Georgia State University in 1985. While at Georgia State he studied oboe with Jonathan Dlouhy who was then principal oboe of the Atlanta Symphony. Russell received the Master of Music Education Degree from VanderCook College in Chicago in 1994. Russell is a member of Tara Winds and has performed with the band since its founding in 1988. He also plays with the South City Wind Quintet. Russell has performed in master classes with such notable oboists as Richard Woodhams, Alex Klein, and Dwight Parry at the John Mack Oboe Camp. Russell has been a public school band director since 1987. Mr. Wilson retired in 2016 as the band director at Lee Middle School in Coweta County where he has taught for 10 years. Additionally he assists with the band at East Coweta High School where he teaches oboe students, double reed ensembles, and the Woodwind Quintet. Prior to teaching in Coweta County, he taught for 19 years in Clayton County. He also maintains an active private oboe studio where his students frequently make all state and other regional honors groups around the Atlanta area.
