You will be contacted to where and when the gift certificates will be delivered, so please include your phone number on order form.   You may download the order form below, and additional order forms are available in the band room. If you cannot get your order to the school before 1:00PM, you are welcome to call or email your order to me before 9PM on Monday night.

The next order date is as follows:
July 13th

We can now order Kroger cards directly from Kroger. We earn a 5% profit on these cards, which will be split between your student account and the uniform loan. I have included a spot at the end of the order form to order these cards. Cards are available in amounts from $5 - $500.

Blockbuster movie cards and Blockbuster Game cards are great deals. It costs $4.80 to rent a movie and $8.55 to rent a game at Blockbuster. Through Scrip, BB movie cards cost $4.00 and you earn 19.25%; you earn a profit of 77 cents (39 cents for student account and 38 cents for uniform loan); final cost of movie card is $3.23 (1.57 savings). BB game cards cost $7.00 and you earn 27%, you earn a profit of 1.89 (95 cents for student account and 94 cents for uniform loan); final cost of game card is $5.11 (3.44 savings).

Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money” – in other words, Scrip cards are gift cards from national and local retailers. They’re the same gift cards that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our Scrip program including JC Penney, The Gap, Shell, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse and many, many others.

You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help us raise money. It’s simple – Scrip-participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. Member families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and our band program keeps the difference as revenue. Fifty percent of revenue will go to the uniform fund and fifty percent to your student’s account (for each $10 certificate from Texas Roadhouse, we earn 12%; if I purchased 3 $10 certificates, the total revenue would be $3.60 – the amount $1.80 would be applied to general fund and $1.80 would be applied to my daughter’s student account). And Scrip is exciting, because everybody wins:

The retailers get cash up front and repeat business…

You get a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling…

Our band uniform loan and student accounts get a regular source of revenue.

The beauty of Scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our band organization without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with Scrip at the stores that participate in the Scrip program! Scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out.

If you have any questions, please call me at 770-502-1809 or email mckryan@summergrove.net.

Thanks,

Christa Ryan
